Yesterday, JD and I went to SM City Baliwag to pay my bills in Globe Telecom.  While waiting for the cashier, I saw an advertisement in their wall.  It is the Super-Unli promo.  I decided to read the ads and found this:

Globe Tattoo gives you Super-Unli. Enjoy unlimited texting AND calling to Globe/TM for only P150 for 5 days. Now you're free to connect non-stop with friends, anytime and anyway you want to because it is complete with unlimited texting and calling.

It's so easy to subscribe to Super-Unli! Simply text SUPER150 to 2824, and you'll enjoy unlimited texts to Globe / TM for 5 days. OneWebDay in SM Mall of Asia

OneWebDay Philippines 2009 at SM Mall of Asia had been very successful despite some hardships in organizing it this year.  The event was headed by the Philippine Internet Users Society (PIUS) and Event Philippines.  People with varying background celebrated the first ever #OWD in the Philippines.

There are also those which volunteered for the event.  PC Tech Group of Sulit.com.ph lend their hand in repairing personal computers and laptop.  Around 40 computers were repaired during the days event.  Creative voices, headed by Pocholo Gonzales provided the emcees and voice over during the program while entrepreneurs share their experiences during the Grand EB (Eye-Ball) of Online Pinoy Entrepreneurs.  The Grand EB of Entrepreneurs was headed by April Pagaling of CISS Manila and MyDivisoria.com

Michael Alunan, PIUE CEO stated that this is only the start of fulfilling the PIUS advocacy of "empowering Everyone Through Computer and Internet Access."  He said that together the Filipino Bayanihan spirit can again be reborn and can soon be the norm of how we interact with one another and how we do business

New Editor in Blogger

My elder brother called me yesterday telling that there is a new feature in blogger.com.  He said that I need to click the new editor to replace my old editor.

To enable the new editor, here's the procedure:
a.  First navigate to your blog's Settings | Basic tab.
b.  Near the bottom of the page you will see a field called Select Post Editor, and from there you simply need
to select Updated Editor and save your settings.

Uploading pictures is so easy.   When you upload an image to the new post editor it will appear as a thumbnail in the image dialog box. That way, you can upload several images at once, and then add them into your post at your convenience. The thumbnails will be available until you close the post editor.

When you add an image from the dialog into your post it will be placed at the insertion point instead of at the top of the post.

If you don’t like where an image is in your post, you can drag it around to another spot. If you drag it towards the left side of the editor it will float to the left, likewise for the right, and if you leave it in the center it will be centered. You can drag the image between paragraphs and other block elements. Unlike in the current editor, dragging in the new editor preserves the link to the full-size version of the image.

You can easily resize or remove an image with the image size “bubble.” Click on the image (Firefox 3 users may need to double-click) to bring up the bubble, and resize the image instantly. You can resize any image, including ones added by URL, but if you resize an image that was uploaded through the post editor we resample the image on our servers to keep the download size small.

Want to read more about this?  just click the link:  New Features

Play Restaurant City on Facebook

I can't imagine myself being so addictive in playing and using Facebook.  After playing Farm Town, I'm now starting to play Restaurant City.
Restaurant City lets you run your very own restaurant and employ your friends to work for you as waiters and chefs. And with a wealth of different decorations, furniture and equipment to choose from you can really make your mark with a completely unique restaurant. You can visit your friends' restaurants too and even trade ingredients with them to help you create a menu which ensures your restaurant is the talk of the town! Play now and let's get cooking!

I'm now in Level 6!

Noynoy Aquino for President

Early morning, when I went to my shop, my elder brother told me that Sen. Noynoy announced something on national television.

Noynoy Aquino, the son of late president Cory Aquino and Senator Ninoy Aquino had declared his bid for the Philippine Presidency in 2010 at an early morning press conference in Club Filipino, Greenhills, San Juan. Members of his family and the liberal party including Mar Roxas and other supporters were present in his announcement.

The announcement occurred during the 40th day of the death of his mother, Cory Aquino.

Here's an excerpt translation of what he said:
I accept the call of the people and the advice of my parents, and the responsibility to continue the fight for our nation. I accept the challenge to lead this fight. I will run for president in the coming elections.
Noynoy also offered the Vice Presidential slot to former LP front runner Mar Roxas but Roxas did not immediately made a comment nor reply to the offer. He says that today is the day of Noynoy and that let it be that way.

Various groups had already started fund raising for Noynoy in fact during the press conference a certain Gloria Alcuaz of the group Kubol ng Pag-asa passed a can around marked "Piso para kay Noynoy (A peso for Noynoy)" to solicit contributions for the young senator's campaign.

Castaway Maya Segovia out in Survivor Philippines Palau

Castaway Maya Segovia known as the "Lady Pilot" is the third castaway voted out in Survivor Philippines Palau

Before they go to the Tribal Council, the girls concede that they want to vote for Troy because of his attitude toward his members.

The boys also concede that they want Maya to be out because they know that Maya is too weak for the tribe. As expected there will be a 4:4 vote but it so happen during the tribal council when Paolo reads and announced that 6 voted for Maya and 2 for Troy.

Maya was thrown out in the tribal council. During her on-the-spot interview, Maya was so disappointed of her two tribe members namely: Mika and Amanda. She thinks that she was betrayed.

Amanda and Mika said sorry to Maya telling that they don't want to do it but they don't have any choice because they need the strongest member in the tribe to continue the fight against the Koror tribe.
