Longing for Encantadia

Wooohhhh.... I saw... I saw... I saw.... Encantadia again in GMA 7.

Yes, it is confirmed.  Encantadia: The Second Saga, Endless Love, Panday Kids, The Last Prince, Diva and Captain Barbell are some of the new shows that will be shown by GMA 7 Kapuso Network in 2010.

For almost two years, I've been waiting for the next sequel of Encantadia.  I really love this series.   Encantadia is an original creation of GMA 7 and earned very strong reception when it was shown. It showcased 3 chapters or 3 books. Starting with the original story followed by a prequel to Etheria and then the ending Climax.

Last November 11, 2009, PEP revealed as part of an interview that there is an ongoing production for a sequal to Encantadia and has a tentative title Encantadia: Isang Bagong Mundo. GMA is said to be eyeing for Rhian Ramos, Carla Abellana, Jennylyn Mercado, Nadine Samonte and Jackie Rice (who is now part of Panday Kids) for the 'sanggre' roles. Iza Calzado (the original Amihan) or Claudine Barretto will play the role of Minea, the Ynang Reyna.

Below is the teaser of 2010 upcoming shows of GMA 7

Well... I'm planning to post some of my ideas in GMA 7 forum Encantadia thread... hehehe...

Mallory is the name

John Dwight bought a rat puppet at Blue Magic in SM City Marilao. He was amazed at the puppet and is very eager to own one so he bought it with his own money. To our surprise the puppet has a name. His pet was named, Mallory. The tag on the suffed toy even has some instruction on how to care for the pet.

SM City Marilao Launches Free WiFi

November 20, SM City Marilao launches its Free Wifi together with PhilCom,  PhilCom can be said as one of the oldest but not that popular telecommunications company in the country possibly because it had concentrated its operation in Mindanao.  Based on its website www.philcom.ph, it is said to have been established in 1924 and now is on its 85th year of service.

Based on initial test the Wifi connection is fast and reliable although we can never say if it will remain the same when people in the mall begin using it.  But definitely it will be robust considering the quality assurance that SM Malls is putting towards all their services.

The Wifi launching in SM City Marilao was a success.  The event was highlighted by games, a cosplay which is first in Bulacan and where 8 cosplayers participated, and intermission number.  The press was also present during the event as well as bloggers.  Punla, the local provincial publication and UNTV were among those who attended.

And I'm so proud to say that David won a Nokia 7100 Supernova cellphone and at the same time JD won the first place in the puzzle solving contest.  We also received P 400 worth of gift certificates and 2 gifts courtesy of SM Supermalls.

Congratulations SM City Marilao!

Quarantine movie... a movie to you should watched!

Yesterday midnight, we decided to watch Quarantine movie.    I really don't know the story of this movie but it tells about the planning of wiping out humanity by means of rabies.

Quarantine is a 2008 American horror film directed by John Erick Dowdle and starring Jennifer Carpenter, Jay Hernandez, Steve Harris, Rade Šerbedžija, Greg Germann, Bernard White, and Johnathon Schaech.

Angela Vidal (Jennifer Carpenter) and her cameraman Scott Percival (Steve Harris), a late night television host and crew duo, set out to film a report on the night shift of a Los Angeles fire station. Angela and Scott are introduced to firefighters Fletcher (Johnathon Schaech) and Jake (Jay Hernandez).

A medical emergency at an apartment complex is reported and the night shift is sent in. Yuri (Rade Šerbedžija) the building manager leads everyone and two police officers, James (Andrew Fiscella) and Danny (Columbus Short), to the apartment of Mrs. Espinoza (Jeannie Epper), the source of prior screaming. Yuri knocks, waits, then unlocks the door and a dog runs out. Inside, Espinoza is hysterical. While trying to subdue the crazed elder, James gets bitten by Espinoza. The police and firemen save him and leave her in the apartment, with Fletcher to keep watch over her. Lawrence (Greg Germann), a veterinarian, tends to the injured policeman when Fletcher falls off a railing and hits the floor of the lobby several stories below. His neck is broken and his bones are shattered, and there are signs of him being bitten as well, though a pulse is still detectable. Danny and Jake go upstairs, and Danny is forced to shoot Espinoza after she growls and charges at them, even more hysterical than the prior times she is shown on camera. Upon return downstairs, Danny, Jake, Angela, and Scott learn that all exterior windows and doors are sealed from the outside due to a containment process by police officers outside the building; all cell phones and cable connections to televisions are jammed, as well. Everyone except two people, and a sick woman named Elise (Stacy Chbosky) are brought downstairs by the fire department. During a short lull in the action, Angela interviews Briana (Joey King), the five-year-old daughter of two tenants who is sick with bronchitis. Briana reveals that her father took her sick dog, Max, to the animal hospital, which is why he is not around. Lawrence concludes that the symptoms of those infected are similar to rabies, only much more fast-acting.  Source: wikipedia.org

The rest .... you should watch this movie.

Addicted in Facebook

I never imagined myself being addicted in playing games in Facebook. I spend almost 8 hours a day playing Farm Town, Restaurant City, Fishville, Cafe World, Roller Coaster Kingdom, Farm Pals, Top Restaurant, Animal Ranch, Happy Aquarium, Fish World, My Aquarium, Happy Farm, Farm Ville, Island Paradise, Country Crop.

Paranormal Activity is awesome!

Last two nights, David and I watched horror movies.  We decided to watched first the Paranormal activity because David is very eager and intrigue in this movie.  Reading some reviews and recommendation from other sites and blog, they say that this movie is guaranteed and certified a hit and recommended to be watched.

Paranormal Activity runs only for about 1 hour and 25 minutes and one of the best low horror budget in the history of movie industry in America.

Posting below is the trailer of Paranormal Activity which I found in Youtube.com

All Saint's Day (November 1)

Wohhh... It's been a long time since I wrote here in my blog.   It's a very tough month for me because of work load I had for last 2 months (September & October).

Every year we celebrate All Saints Day (November 1).  We usually go to cemetery to give respect and pray for our loved ones who died already.  But this year, this is the day I will visit my father's grave, the reason is that I don't want to see stupid Bolang (my father's sister).  I really hate her.  Even my mother doesn't like her.

But anyways I don't want to be the center of attention here in my blog!

My mom bought a flower which is not the usual flower we saw in the market.  I don't know the name but the flower is very beautiful.  It's a lavander type flower.  I'm trying to research the name of the flower and thank God, I found it.  It's a Milflores.

Posting below is the sample picture of the flower (but did is not the actual the flower we bought).  I just want the reader to visualize the flower.  I got this picture from a certain Connie Veneracion (credits for you) thanks!

Marvin Keifer voted out

I didn't expect this!  I thought Tara!  I want Tara to be voted out!

Marvin Kiefer is the seventh castaway voted out by his tribe mates "Sonsorol" and the first jury member.

Before going to the hot seat later, it seems that there are definite plans for the upcoming Tribal Council.   They think that Tara should be voted out first because of her attitude, then Marvin will be the next target thinking that Marvin is the biggest threat for them followed by Justine.

But plans can be changed instantly.   During the tribal council, Paolo Bediones asked every tribe members about their reactions and comments regarding the merge.

After writing the name of who they will vote out, 9 out of 10 voted for Marvin.  But before Marvin leave the tribal council Paolo instructed Marvin to give a black pearl symbolize a +1 vote.  He decided to give it to Mika, the reason is that Marvin thinks that Mika is the leader of the "girls alliance" and cannot be trusted.  Paolo also instructed Marvin to give white pearl symbolize a -1 vote and he immediately gave it to Suzuki.

Marvin accepts his faith because he knew that God has a reason.

A frustrated Aga

I found this video in PEP site just want to share!

A frustrated Aga Muhlach talks about the way things are being run by the government.

Although the interview was taped two years ago in the show Straight Talk hosted by Chito Beltran, some of the Facebook users who posted this clip in their wall, thought what Aga said in that show still makes sense today.

My sentiments about government employees of municipality of Nueva Ecija

My day is not good! Actually I'm so angry... very angry... very...very angry and mad.  I want to say the "f" word to all people.

Why angry?  Why mad?

I'm so mad and very angry to the finance department of Municipality of Nueva Ecija.  It's just that their hosting and domain account under Filcode was already overdue and they have a balance of P13,000 plus.  David need to settle this account to the Filcode because the company already gave warning to David that if the account can't sustain and update their balance, they will suspend the account and David will automatically considered black listed to the company.

I really don't know how hard for them to issue a government cheque.  If I remember, 2nd week of September, David already send a billing statement to them.  We also texted and called them reminding the payment and the only thing they told us is "they will immediately arrange the necessary document".  It so happen that almost mid of 3rd and 4th week of the month, David decided to go to Nueva Ecija to collect the money.    He waited for so many hours and found out that stupid guy who is handling the site didn't arranged and issue a voucher.  After so many hours again, David waited again and suddenly they say that they can't issue the cheque without the signature of the municipality mayor.

David decided not to go home in that day and wait for the other day to release the check... and you know what happen.. just like what happen yesterday... again they said that the mayor is not yet around.

Last time, David decided and told the guy that if the mayor already sign the checque, deposit it immediately to David's account.  But they told us that the cheque was already given to the person who manages the site and David should personally picked up the cheque.  This morning David went to Nueva Ecija to pick up the cheque but in our shocked they said again that the cheque cannot be release because the accountant is not around and she will only return in October 10.  What the "f" are they?  What kind of services do the employees of municipality of Nueva Ecija do they have?  Are the taxes that paid by the individual person to the government is worth given for?  I don't think so.!

TAMAD! MAKUPAD! MABAGAL! HINDI WORTH IT ANG BINABAYAD SA KANILA!  Kaya hindi umuunlad ang bansa natin dahil sa ganitong sistema natin!

OneWebDay in SM Mall of Asia

OneWebDay Philippines 2009 at SM Mall of Asia had been very successful despite some hardships in organizing it this year.  The event was headed by the Philippine Internet Users Society (PIUS) and Event Philippines.  People with varying background celebrated the first ever #OWD in the Philippines.

There are also those which volunteered for the event.  PC Tech Group of Sulit.com.ph lend their hand in repairing personal computers and laptop.  Around 40 computers were repaired during the days event.  Creative voices, headed by Pocholo Gonzales provided the emcees and voice over during the program while entrepreneurs share their experiences during the Grand EB (Eye-Ball) of Online Pinoy Entrepreneurs.  The Grand EB of Entrepreneurs was headed by April Pagaling of CISS Manila and MyDivisoria.com

Michael Alunan, PIUE CEO stated that this is only the start of fulfilling the PIUS advocacy of "empowering Everyone Through Computer and Internet Access."  He said that together the Filipino Bayanihan spirit can again be reborn and can soon be the norm of how we interact with one another and how we do business

New Editor in Blogger

My elder brother called me yesterday telling that there is a new feature in blogger.com.  He said that I need to click the new editor to replace my old editor.

To enable the new editor, here's the procedure:
a.  First navigate to your blog's Settings | Basic tab.
b.  Near the bottom of the page you will see a field called Select Post Editor, and from there you simply need
to select Updated Editor and save your settings.

Uploading pictures is so easy.   When you upload an image to the new post editor it will appear as a thumbnail in the image dialog box. That way, you can upload several images at once, and then add them into your post at your convenience. The thumbnails will be available until you close the post editor.

When you add an image from the dialog into your post it will be placed at the insertion point instead of at the top of the post.

If you don’t like where an image is in your post, you can drag it around to another spot. If you drag it towards the left side of the editor it will float to the left, likewise for the right, and if you leave it in the center it will be centered. You can drag the image between paragraphs and other block elements. Unlike in the current editor, dragging in the new editor preserves the link to the full-size version of the image.

You can easily resize or remove an image with the image size “bubble.” Click on the image (Firefox 3 users may need to double-click) to bring up the bubble, and resize the image instantly. You can resize any image, including ones added by URL, but if you resize an image that was uploaded through the post editor we resample the image on our servers to keep the download size small.

Want to read more about this?  just click the link:  New Features

Noynoy Aquino for President

Early morning, when I went to my shop, my elder brother told me that Sen. Noynoy announced something on national television.

Noynoy Aquino, the son of late president Cory Aquino and Senator Ninoy Aquino had declared his bid for the Philippine Presidency in 2010 at an early morning press conference in Club Filipino, Greenhills, San Juan. Members of his family and the liberal party including Mar Roxas and other supporters were present in his announcement.

The announcement occurred during the 40th day of the death of his mother, Cory Aquino.

Here's an excerpt translation of what he said:
I accept the call of the people and the advice of my parents, and the responsibility to continue the fight for our nation. I accept the challenge to lead this fight. I will run for president in the coming elections.
Noynoy also offered the Vice Presidential slot to former LP front runner Mar Roxas but Roxas did not immediately made a comment nor reply to the offer. He says that today is the day of Noynoy and that let it be that way.

Various groups had already started fund raising for Noynoy in fact during the press conference a certain Gloria Alcuaz of the group Kubol ng Pag-asa passed a can around marked "Piso para kay Noynoy (A peso for Noynoy)" to solicit contributions for the young senator's campaign.

Castaway Maya Segovia out in Survivor Philippines Palau

Castaway Maya Segovia known as the "Lady Pilot" is the third castaway voted out in Survivor Philippines Palau

Before they go to the Tribal Council, the girls concede that they want to vote for Troy because of his attitude toward his members.

The boys also concede that they want Maya to be out because they know that Maya is too weak for the tribe. As expected there will be a 4:4 vote but it so happen during the tribal council when Paolo reads and announced that 6 voted for Maya and 2 for Troy.

Maya was thrown out in the tribal council. During her on-the-spot interview, Maya was so disappointed of her two tribe members namely: Mika and Amanda. She thinks that she was betrayed.

Amanda and Mika said sorry to Maya telling that they don't want to do it but they don't have any choice because they need the strongest member in the tribe to continue the fight against the Koror tribe.

Well, I've already send my request which is "Bayan Ko" which she sung last time during Cory's requiem mass and "Sana Maulit Muli"

I watched Confessions of a Shopaholic

Yesterday we bought a DVD movie entitled "Confessions of a Shopaholic". At first, I don't want to bought this movie I prefer to watch Transformer 2 but suddenly when David showed me the story behind the shopaholic movie, I decided to watched it.

The story was when Rebecca was a young girl, her mom buys her brown shoes that will last forever but aren't very fashionable, while the other little girls in the store are getting cute fashionable shoes. When they look at her mundane shoes, they laugh at her and its at that moment that Rebecca first feels unworthy.

Now, Rebecca Bloomwood, living with her best friend Suze Cleath-Stuart, has moved to Manhattan to nurture her shopping addiction and to get involved in the New York City magazine world. She's a journalist for a garden magazine but she'd rather work for the fashion magazine "Alette". Unfortunately for Rebecca, when she gets to her interview she's told by the male receptionist that the job has been filled. He helps her out by giving her a tip that she should get her foot in the door with another magazine owned by the corporation and then make her way up to "Alette" since the company, Dantay West, owns all the magazines and likes to promote from within. He tells her there are interviews being held at the magazine "Successful Savings"

Rebecca is off to the interview but on the way there she realizes that there is a sale at Denny & George. Inside she finds a beautiful green scarf. Unfortunately her credit card is declined and the sales girl tells her that they can't hold sale items. Rebecca races to the nearest hot dog stand and offers to buy all the hot dogs if he gives her back change in cash. Rebecca lies and says its for her Aunt Ermintrude who is sick in the hospital and she needs the scarf. Finally a man offers her money so she can buy the scarf. When she interviews with Luke Brandon, the editor of the magazine Successful Saving, she finds that he is the man from whom she had borrowed money. While he's still talking on the phone, she throws off her scarf on one of the cubicles and tries to act like it's not hers. The interview doesn't go well for Rebecca, when he asks her what Finnish she speaks and about the current fiscal crisis. She tries to distract him but it all goes badly. Luke's assistant Hayley comes into the room and tells Rebecca that she dropped her scarf. Rebecca knows her game is up and leaves the interview.

Frustrated by her lack of success, she and Suze write drunken letters to Alette magazine and Successful Saving, but she posts each one to the wrong magazine. Nevertheless, Luke Brandon hires her. Then, rather than completing a work assignment, she goes to a clothing sale. When examining an expensive cashmere coat, she realizes that it is 5% cashmere and 95% acrylic. She writes her column, calling herself "the Girl in the Green Scarf". Impressed, her boss, Luke, invites her to a conference in Miami and an important ball. While shopping for the ball, Luke asks what she thinks of him. Rebecca says he is a workaholic and not a good investment as all his hard work goes into the magazine but the earnings to someone else. At a restaurant, another woman, Alicia Billington, asks Luke to the ball. Rebecca learns that Luke is the son of the famous socialite Elinor Sherman and that he knows a lot about clothes. At the ball the two share a romantic moment on the roof.

Rebecca returns home to confrontations with a bill collector and her best friend Suze, who makes her join a Shopaholic-group. Her Shopaholic class leader, Miss Korch, forces her to sell all the clothes she just bought, including her bridesmaid dress. She is later publicly accused of not paying her debts live on a TV show, 'Morning Coffee' and as a consequence loses her job. Though Luke is hurt that Rebecca has lied to him, he still finds her a source of inspiration. Suze finds out that Rebecca sold her maid of honor dress, and forces her to move out.

Rebecca decides to sell all of her clothes in a sale, but hesitates over the green scarf. A blond woman and a woman talking on a telephone begin a bidding war over the scarf. The sale is a success, making it possible for her to repay her debt. Rebecca attends Suze's wedding, and she forgives her, letting her be the maid of honor. Rebecca and Luke come together, with Luke returning her the green scarf;– he was the person behind both bidders. Rebecca ends up working for Luke's new magazine, writing articles such as "Confessions of a Shopaholic".

I rate this movie with a 5 star as the highest because it's very practical, touchy and has a truthful reality.

Baliwag.net, a community portal for all Baliwagueños

Hello guys! I'm back! It's been a long time. The last time I wrote here is last August 9, Sunday. I've been busy working in my shop everyday. It's very tough week for me. But anyways, David and I decided to update and re-constructed our community portal which is www.baliwag.net. We chose to re-layout the site, add some designs, update more issues and information. Actually until now, major updating is still our major problem not because we're lazy encoding the information, we still need volunteers and staff to help us in maintaining the site. But we're trying our best to finish it and we already posted in our forum that we are in need of volunteers and staff.

Posted here in the new layout of www.baliwag.net, a community portal of Baliwaguenos

Final episode of Smallville Season 8

Yesterday, David and I watched the season finale of Smallville Season 8 entitled Doomsday. As the story told, Rokk returns from the 31st Century and informs Clark that Doomsday will kill him, and gives him a new Legion ring to transport Doomsday to the future. Instead, Clark decides to use black kryptonite to split Davis from Doomsday, and bury the beast a mile underground. Tess confronts Lois about stealing the Kryptonian orb, but as the two fight, Lois finds the Legion ring and is transported to another time in history. When Davis starts to change, Chloe uses the black kryptonite to split him herself. Clark battles Doomsday in the streets of Metropolis and manages to bury Doomsday, as planned, using explosives to seal the tunnel. Davis stabs Jimmy when he realizes that Chloe still loves Jimmy, but before he dies Jimmy impales Davis on a metal rod. Clark tells Chloe that it is human-learned emotions that have caused him the most trouble, and vows that "Clark Kent is dead"; the orb returns to Tess and releases Zod.

Season 9 is coming up soon. I can't hardly wait to see it.

Thank you President Corazon Aquino, you're a great leader

I just want to send my sincere condolence to the Aquino family. Words seems inadequate to express the sadness I feel and deeply saddened to hear that our great leader Mrs. Corazon Aquino passed away. May the comfort of God help you even though you're in heaven right now.

Just want to share to you a poem made by David in his blog dedicated to Mrs. Corazon C. Aquino

Paalam Aming Tita Cory
orihinal na tula ni Shen para kay Cory

Lumuluha habang nagsusulat
Sa di maipaliwanag na dahilan
Pinipigil man ang maungkat

I really love Smallville!

I'm totally fanatic of Smallville. We're already in season 8 and always watch every night through streaming video. I used to watch Smallville since 2002 because of David's convincing power.

Smallville is an American television series developed by writers/producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, based on the DC Comics character Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

Yesterday, the last episode I watch entitled "Requiem" wherein Oliver is announcing to the LuthorCorp board of executives that Queen Industries has bought controlling interest in LuthorCorp a bomb detonates in the meeting room. Clark and Lana investigate the bombing and discover that the bomb was made with kryptonite. Lana also discovers that her suit not only gives her strength and speed, but absorbs kryptonite radiation as well. The bombmaker, Winslow Schott, a former Queen Industries employee now under the employ of Lex, plants another bomb on the roof of the Daily Planet. When Lana absorbs the kryptonite in this bomb to deactivate it, she becomes so irradiated that she and Clark can never again be near each other. Clark tracks Lex down, but Lana stops him from doing something he would regret, and Lex's mobile safe-house explodes. To keep from harming Clark, Lana leaves Smallville, again.

Let us Support Subterranean River!

I'm so proud that one of our tourist spot here in the Philippines is now officially finalist as one of the 7 Wonders of Nature.

Puerto Princesa Underground River or Subterranean River National Park is located about 50 km north of the city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. It features a limestone karst mountain landscape with an 8.2 km. navigable underground river. A distinguishing feature of the river is that it winds through a cave before flowing directly into the South China Sea. It includes major formations of stalactites and stalagmites, and several large chambers. The lower portion of the river is subject to tidal influences. The underground river is reputed to be the world's longest. At the mouth of the cave, a clear lagoon is framed by ancient trees growing right to the water's edge. Monkeys, large monitor lizards, and squirrels find their niche on the beach near the cave.

So I'm asking to all the BLOGGERS, READERS and all the people who will read this:
